Unleashing The Power of Your EMR with AI

Tuesday, July 23, 2024 | 12:30-1:30 pm ET (Virtual)

Harness the hidden potential within your Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).  This interactive Journal Club session moderated by Dr Anthony Sebastian with guest speaker, Don Watts, President & GM at Khure Health, dives deep into how AI can revolutionize how you utilize patient data to improve diagnoses, treatment plans, and overall patient care.

We’ll discuss the latest research and applications in this field, examining how AI can:

  • Uncover hidden patterns: AI’s ability to analyze vast amounts of data can reveal subtle trends and connections within your EMR system. This can lead to earlier diagnoses of complex conditions, particularly rare diseases that might otherwise be missed.
  • Optimize treatment plans: By analyzing patient data alongside medical research, AI can assist in tailoring treatment plans to the specific needs of each individual. This can lead to more effective therapies with fewer side effects.
  • Enhance preventative care: AI can help identify patients at risk for developing certain conditions, allowing for earlier intervention and preventative measures.

In this session, we’ll also explore how AI can better support specialists adapting to changes in treatment guidelines by reviewing recent publication data from Khure Health featured in the American Journal of Kidney Diseases (AJKD). Don will explain how AI-powered risk prediction tools can bridge the gap between updated treatment guidelines and real-world practice. By leveraging AI to identify patients who qualify for goal-directed medical therapy (GDMT) based on the latest criteria, physicians can ensure timely intervention and potentially improve patient outcomes. This allows them to focus on what matters most: delivering humanistic care to their patients.
