Dr. Sonny Kohli Joins Khure Health as VP of Medical Affairs

Khure Health is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Sonny Kohli as our new Vice President of Medical Affairs. Dr. Kohli’s passion for improving healthcare access and his deep understanding of clinical practice make him an invaluable addition to our team.

Dr. Kohli is an Internal Medicine and Critical Care specialist practicing in Canada and is a faculty member at McMaster University. His career has been characterized by a drive for innovation and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. His work at Cloud DX, notably with “Vitaliti”, Canada’s first-ever Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE winner, is evidence of this. This deep-rooted passion for global health was ignited during a humanitarian mission to post-earthquake Haiti in 2010. Witnessing firsthand the devastating impact of inadequate healthcare on marginalized communities, Dr. Kohli became dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to address these challenges. This journey is described in his 2016 TEDx Talk. He is a chapter author in the new pioneering textbook, “AI in Clinical Medicine”, a former Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut candidate, a Canadian Forces (CF)-trained Flight Surgeon, and an alumnus of the International Space University (ISU). During his time at the ISU, he contributed to the deployment of the Image Reversal In Space Investigation on the International Space Station (ISS).

As VP of Medical Affairs, Dr. Sonny Kohli will play a pivotal role in driving Khure Health’s mission to provide comprehensive clinical intelligence for rare and specialty diseases. Dr. Kohli’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our AI-powered platform continues to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights to physicians, enabling them to make more informed decisions for patients with complex conditions.

Human clinical expertise is a cornerstone of Khure Health’s values. Physicians within our network benefit from comprehensive clinical support as part of our program. This includes access to our Clinical Specialists, our team of non-practicing MDs, who provide physicians with education on specific conditions and new algorithms developed by Khure. These MDs regularly review the cases of patients identified as high-risk to ensure a full white-glove experience with our platform. Dr. Kohli’s appointment further strengthens our ability to provide high-quality clinical support to physicians.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Sonny Kohli to the Khure Health family. His expertise, compassion, and dedication to improving healthcare will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of patients with rare and specialty diseases. We are confident that together, we can achieve great things.
