Primacy and Khure Health partner to accelerate the diagnosis of rare disease patients and get them on the right care pathways.

Khure Health is excited to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Primacy Management Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Calian Ltd. (CGY:CN)) to offer our AI-enabled Clinical Intelligence Platform to approximately 1000 physicians, serving over six million Canadians annually at over 150 Primacy medical clinics across Canada. Through the Khure Health platform, Primacy physicians will now be able to leverage the power of artificial intelligence to accelerate the diagnosis of rare disease patients and put them on the right care pathways, including potentially life-saving treatments.

Every physician has a rare disease patient whether they know it or not.

To date, approximately 7,000 rare diseases have been identified, and rare diseases affect 1 in 12 or nearly 3 million Canadians. It is virtually impossible for a physician to understand all of the potential diagnoses and possible treatment options. According to a report by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, patients with rare conditions are frequently referred to several specialists before a correct diagnosis can be made, and this delay in clinical care can have overall negative effects on a patient’s health.

Primacy clinic physicians will have access to Khure Health’s advanced clinical dashboards and analytical tools that combine artificial intelligence and the immense amount of data within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to better enable them to quickly understand complex, potentially high-risk rare disease patients, and optimize their care.

Primacy physicians will now be able to leverage the power of artificial intelligence to accelerate the diagnosis of rare disease patients and put them on the right care pathways, including potentially life-saving treatments.

“Traditional investments in technology have done little to help over-burdened primary care physicians diagnose complex patients. Advanced technologies like artificial intelligence offer so many benefits to assist in clinical diagnosis,” said Melanie Holek, General Manager, Primacy Management Inc. “Khure Health’s Clinical Intelligence Platform is exactly the sort of state-of-the-art clinical innovation Primacy is proud to bring to the day-to-day practice our physician customers’. Using this tool, they will be able to optimize the care of complex patients across the country.”

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Primacy to help physicians across Canada accelerate the diagnosis of rare disease patients and optimize their care through the use of our innovative technology, ” said Don Watts, President, Khure Health Inc. “This national partnership will allow Khure Health to work with hundreds of physicians at Primacy locations across all 10 provinces and support them in the care of millions of Canadian patients. Based on the cumulative prevalence, rare disease patients are not so rare, and we strive every day to help physicians ensure that no patient is left behind.”
